About Me

Hello! My name is Max Nichols. Writing is my fervent passion, especially in the genre of historical fiction.

Some of my favorite things include reading, writing, skiing, golfing, and all things JRR Tolkien.

From a very young age, I have always loved reading. Thanks to a motherly ban on television, I spent most of my time reading and writing stories that will hopefully never see the light of day.

Favorite fiction book: This is an impossible question. Some of my favorites include all things Poirot and Sherlock Holmes, The Book Thief, and George Orwell's Animal Farm.

Favorite nonfiction book: Unbroken, by Laura Hillenbrand. It's a riveting, well-written story about an extraordinary man.

Favorite TV show: Sherlock! This show is amazing! The chemistry between Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman is simply brilliant. Not to mention, I am a sucker for all of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's works, including their respective film/television adaptions.
